Section 761G of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) and regulations define a Wholesale investor as a person meeting one of the following criteria:

  • Has made an application to invest $500,000 or more;

  • Has obtained a certificate from a qualified accountant certifying that the person has net assets of $2.5 million or gross income of at least $250,000 for the immediate two financial years; or

  • Is a professional investor.
